Cookies Make Everything Better

I'm feeling a bit blue today. I guess just a mixture of left over pregnancy hormones added to my crazy hormones, added to the stress of every day life just gets you that way sometimes. At least it was a nice day out today, you could even say it was hot! Miley got a nice dose of real vitamin D outside as the kids played. Miley and I sat out there for a good 10-15 minutes before I realized there was potential for a burn on Miley's precious, delicate baby skin!
Kaylea could play out there for hours, she loves mucking in the buckets of left over rain water, or eating the soggy chalk that was left out in the rain. When I finally dragged her inside for nap time she was NOT happy with me! She was all wet, and her hands were dirty and cold but she didn't care!
Chris came home early today from work, not to early though, just an hour but it was still nice. Ferg came and moved out most of his stuff today, and Chris was right on moving ANYTHING kid back to the playroom. Which is nice to have our Living rooms back and not over taken with kids toys!
I finally finished my Thank-You Cards for Miley's Baby Shower Gifts. Her shower was February 14th and I could never find the time to do them. Every time I would sit down Lex would want something, or Kaylea was having a fit and wanting attention, or Miley wouldn't be put down or wanted to eat! But today I knew I procrastinated long enough and set out to do them. So there I sat bouncing Miley away in her bouncy seat and ooh'ng and ahh'ng at Lex's art work he was doing beside me to get them done! Now I just need to get 20 stamps and mail them off and I'm Golden!
It's 20 after 10 right now, and I just took out a nice fresh batch of Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies. I only burnt the top ones a bit. haha. I whipped them up in hopes to suffocate the blue feelings I am having. I can't wait to eat a cookie. I really shouldn't...but I so am. Probably even more then 1! I really need to get on dieting but I'm so ravenously hungry all the time that I'd just starve. I will probably start exerscising as soon as I get the go ahead from the doctor at my 6 week appt. Which by the way my 6 weeks is on Monday! I can now start lifting things other then my baby...haha...what a joke, they expect you not to lift anything heavier then your baby...how are you supposed to NOT lift your crying screaming 18 month old after they've fallen and hurt themselves!? Yup so I've been lifting Kaylea since 2 weeks Post Partum! Ohwell no hernia that I can see...and my stitches never popped out so I'm good I guess... Well I better wrap this up, Miley is crying and those Cookies are calling my name...piping hot or not I am so eating one!

Unproductive Thursday

If I have learned anything in the last day, it's that if you're going to blog while your kids are awake and playing near you, then to save, save, SAVE!
Twice Lex has knocked the cable out of the laptop 'causing it to die and me to lose my work. Thankfully I had saved yesterday's post, and today's was only a little bit of information to lose.
Anyway, I couldn't sleep last night so I decided to load my full memory card onto the computer and hard drive. Of course I ended up reminiscing as I looked at each picture.
I had been at my new favorite blog earlier http://www.kellehampton.com/and came across some pictures she had taken of her pregnant friend and became saddened that I hadn't taken more pregnant belly pictures of myself pregnant with Miley! I searched through my pictures to see what the last pregnant pic I had was and it was 5 days before Miley's c-section. 5 days is a lot! I was probably so much bigger and rounder then 5 days previous...I wasn't even holding my belly or my shirt taught to accentuate my belly, then I got depressed 'cause i'll never be pregnant again. I'll never feel the kicks and hiccups of my baby inside of me. That quiet moment at night when you can't sleep and it's dark and you feel them kick and you know your not alone. I'm really going to miss that.
I'm also going to miss having a snuggly baby nestled into me, breathing heavily, snorting as she stretches...Miley's still sleeping with me but time goes by so fast when you have kids that I'm sure I'll blink and she'll be a year old, sleeping in her own crib in her own room. So I know I will miss that. and it will be years before she'll beable to come into our room on our own and snuggle herself in to me. So I best enjoy and savor her snuggles now. :)
Awww...quiet. 20 after midnight...everyones asleep. I finally get my peace. I wrote the above this morning with the kids running wild. I think bloggin' is best to be done at night! haha.
We had a pretty unproductive day, which they usually have been lately.
The kids lounged in their jammies all day, I however got dressed, as we were supposed to go to the Airpark for a walk with a friend but it was way to cold, and her little one was sick with a croupy cough and eye infection. So we will have to reschedule.
She did drop off her Beco Baby Carrier for me to try out with Miss Miley! The bjorn is just way to hard on the back. I got pretty frustrated trying to get it to work though, I will go up to Firefly and see if they can help me out.
Lex was in a funky mood again today. I know a big part of his acting out is because he's not getting enough attention and he's not stimulated. He's so bored, but the weather and having a new baby, and Kaylea hasn't really left me with a lot of time to do fun things. but I am going to try! It's so not fair to him.
Anyway I best be going to bed. my eyes are drooping.

I've been meaning to start blogging again. I used to blog daily before I had kids. I wish I could find my old blog entries etc. Would be interesting to re-read what I wrote about before I had kids! Anyway here's my new one with my exciting life with kids! :) Today has been a really good day! The sun was (is!) shining and the kids woke up in good moods! I took Lex to preschool and I promised him we'd walk over to the water park for a play afterward. I knew this would be a hassle but I need to learn to do things with three kids! So while Lex was having fun and learning away, and while Kaylea was making a mess of her breakfast I prepared! I made Chris' lunch and the kids lunches and gathered everything I needed for the kids all the while giving Miley a few bounces in her bouncy seat to keep her asleep! Kaylea and I ate our lunch early, I fed Miley then we piled into the truck to get Lex. First we had to do a quick stop at Daddy's work to drop his lunch off since usually he comes home. Lex had some art work he had done, a Humpty Dumpty on a wall and a painting. Lex's first month of Preschool I was so excited with all the new artwork he would bring home. I would display it proudly on the fridge, then when I had to make room for new art I would safely pack it away...now there is just so much of it I find I am putting it into the recycle bin right away...sorry Lex. Pretty soon when I have 3 kids in school I will be over run with artwork. wet glue, and glitter and paint chips everywhere. :S It was such a beautiful day! Lex played with a few kids from his preschool class while Kaylea tripped and fell about. Chris wanted me to take some pictures, but I got caught up chatting with a preschool mom and a friend I bumped into. So I forgot until the end when I took a couple. :) Now we are all refreshed and reenergized from the delicious sun! I forgo'd the Vitamin D Drops today as Miley got a healthy dose of the REAL deal. Kaylea's napping and Lex and I are sitting here watching movies. He doesn't seem to fond of the "oldschool" disney classics...we watched the Sword in the Stone, he would have asked to switch movies but he was paitently was waiting for a sword fight to happen. haha. poor guy. Daddy will be home in an hour, he'll be coming home to a relatively tidy house (since we were out most of the day they couldn't mess it up!) and no dinner!
